The French Retreat

La Loge, Yviers, 16210, Charente, France

My Approach

I have a training background in Systemic Constellation Work, the Hoffman Process as well as business coaching and organisational development. I incorporate my own life experience and professional training into my coaching and facilitation work and favour a solution-focused approach. Typically I will offer clients assignments to help them develop a spiritual practice of their own. These tools and approaches are tried and tested methods that address depression, anxiety and self-esteem issues. See www.matthewpruen.com for more detail.

My family-run retreat centre in South West France opened in July 2015. The French Retreat, as it is known, hosts a range of personal development experiences throughout the year and is the home of an annual programme of retreat events, workshops and couples’ intensives. See www.retreat.fr and www.facebook.com/retreatincharente for more information.

How can I help?

The main focus of my work is to support individuals, couples and teams/communities finding breakthrough in their lives.

With individuals, I work in 90 minute sessions from my practice rooms in Maida Vale, London, from my retreat centre in near Bordeaux or by phone/Skype/FaceTime

Most of my work is with couples who are addressing the question “What’s the point of us?” I work in three day intensive sessions. Structured processes that cover …

  • Communication – saying and hearing what has been unsaid or misunderstood.
  • Letting go of past grievances – giving the past it’s due, letting go and opening up to an evolved relationship.
  • Visioning a positive future.
  • The intention is to get people back in connection, trusting again as well as respectful and kindly disposed to each other.

I work with couples who are positive and enthusiastic, ambivalent, committed to parting and unsure or in dispute.
